History

The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) was founded in 1914 and, along with Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, became founding members of CONMEBOL in 1916.

Brazil's first official international game was a 0-3 defeat away to Argentina in a friendly match in September 1914.

Wales record v Brazil

Wales' first meeting with Brazil was the quarter finals of the 1958 FIFA World Cup when a goal by Pele defeated the Welsh side making their World Cup debut.

Wales have faced Brazil more times than any other South American country having played each other on 10 occasions.
